'Overwatch' Latest News & Updates: New Support Sniper Character With New Skins & New Loot Box Configuration; Other Game Details Revealed

"Overwatch" is the Blizzard's offering to gamers with a First Person Shooter setting (FPS), player VS player action, different characters to choose from, and a whole lot more. Speaking of characters, the newest character that was added to the roster and introduced as the mother of Pharah is Ana Amari, who is a support sniper in the "Overwatch" franchise.

'Overwatch' Ana Amari

The character is equipped with a bionic sniper with long-ranged darts that have different functions depending on use. Although the character will not be playable in the actual game of "Overwatch," the healer sniper will be in the test realms.

As soon as Ana Amari came out, the gamers immediately asked about the skins of the player and Blizzard then immediately deliver the goodies and skins prior to the release of the new character in the "Overwatch" game.

Ana Amari has different styles of skins for different types of battlefield like the Shrike skin, which has a more home vibe in Destiny, the Wasteland skin is more of a post-apocalyptic scenario like Mad Max, and the most talked about skin called the Captain Amari, which the character looking as a real team member of the "Overwatch."

'Overwatch' Loot Boxes

Aside from the new character and the fancy items, the "Overwatch" community manager Lylirra wrote a post in the official forums of which the rules of the Loot Boxes and why it should not be stocked.

The manager said that the Loot Box content is generated at the time if it is obtained or purchased and not when it is opened. The loot boxes that are obtained or purchased by a player before the release of the new character will have no chance of obtaining Ana's cosmetic items. In other words, there's no point in stacking up Loot Boxes before Ana Amari is playable in the "Overwatch" game.

Lylirra added that the system will work this way in further content updates. However, gamers of "Overwatch" are still hopefull that Blizzard will have a change of heart in the near future.
