'Pokemon GO' Cheats, Tips & Tricks: Get More Candy And Unlimited Incense With These Techniques

Playing "Pokemon GO" is a huge blast, but it can require plenty of hard work. Players often have to go walking around for hours catching Pokemon to speed up their leveling and help their monsters evolve.

However, with a few simple tips and cheats, you can get more out of "Pokemon GO" and zoom past the grind. Here are two tricks to help you get started.

1. How to get more candy

In "Pokemon GO," you use Candy to evolve your Pokemon. You collect Candy whenever you capture Pokemon or hatch them from eggs. Each Pokemon needs a certain amount of Candy to level up, and only Candy dropped by their fellow species will work.

Evolving Pokemon is a key aspect of "Pokemon GO," and this reliance on Candy can be a problem for some Pokemon. For example, it only takes 12 Candy to level up a Caterpie, Metapod, or Pidgey, but a Charmander needs 25, a Zubat requires 50, and a Magikarp will require 400 for its evolution. You can see the Candy requirements for each Pokemon in this handy table at Serebii.net.

You can increase your Candy stores in "Pokemon GO" by capturing lots of duplicate Pokemon of the kind you want to evolve. The game will allow you to Transfer unwanted Pokemon to Professor Willow, permanently removing them from your account in exchange for the appropriate Candy type. Simply select your duplicate Pokemon and get lots of Candy in turn.

Another way is to get eggs at PokeStops. Hatching eggs will give you lots of Candy. Gather incubators or buy more of them with in-app purchases, then use them to hatch up to three eggs at once by traveling a certain distance. "Pokemon GO" uses your GPS location to determine the distance traveled, so you can improve your hatching speed by driving around.

2. Get unlimited incense

Incense is an invaluable resource in "Pokemon GO," allowing you to attract more Pokemon to your location for 30 minutes. This can help improve your chances at getting rare Pokemon, or allow you to play the game without leaving your current position.

"Pokemon GO" provides players with two Incense pots, after which they'll have to purchase more. But you can make your Incense last much longer by manipulating your device's time and date.

Simply use your Incense while playing "Pokemon GO," making sure to keep track of how much time is left. Once you're at 5 minutes left, go to Settings > Date and Time and turn off the "Automatic date and time" setting, then turn back your clock 20 minutes. Go back to the game and you'll see that you have more time available.

"Pokemon GO" players have been banned by Niantic for using GPS spoofing cheats, but simply turning off your date and time should not warrant a ban. Therefore, this cheat is safe to use.
