'The Division' Latest News & Update: Underground Expansion Has Come To PS4; Full Details Here

"The Division" Underground Expansion is already available on PlayStation 4. The expansion previously launched on Xbox One in June 2016. The new content includes a variety of new missions, gear sets and one Incursion.

"The Division" Underground Expansion provides randomized Operations that can be customized and repeated. The missions are similar to dungeons where players can change the difficult and certain elements in the gameplay. However, the variables, if activated, will reward "The Division" players with more XP and bonuses after finishing the Operation.

GameSpot stated that the new Incursion in "The Division," titled "Dragon's Nest," is set in Hell's Kitchen where players investigate a new Cleaner weapon. There will also be new gear sets and abilities.

According to game critic Scott Buttworth, the core mechanics and bullet sponge enemies in "The Division" remained the same, although the option to engage in short bursts of customizable and cooperative gameplay serves as a great alternative to merely replaying story missions or moving through the Dark Zone. The new gameplay variables and short operations in Underground provide new ways for players to enjoy the game.

According to Ubisoft Forums, after a maintenance shutdown on Aug. 2, 2016, "The Division" Underground expansion was finally made available for PlayStation 4. The expansion features a secret war deep below Manhattan. Players are required to explore the underground of New York alone or in a four-player co-op to locate the threat and gain special rewards.

"The Division" players can go through randomly generated levels with new environmental traps and dangers. Gamers can combine more Directives that will boost gameplay and unlock bigger rewards. Players can also earn Underground experience and go up in Rank to earn new Operation types, exclusive Vanity items and Directives.

PlayStationLifestyle revealed that the "The Division" players have to be level 30 and completed the General Assembly mission to play the Dragon's Nest Incursion. The mission is ideal for a four-player team using high-level gear. Heroic Mode will reportedly be available soon in "The Division." The Underground expansion also features four new gear sets, namely B.L.I.N.D., DeadEYE, FireCrest and Reclaimer. The B.L.I.N.D. System MDR Rifle is the lone new weapon. "The Division: Underground" can be bought singly for $15 or as part of the game season pass.
