‘Pokemon GO’ Latest News, Release Date & Update: Legendary Rares To Expect In Gen 2

"Pokemon Go" continues its rush but plenty are not feasting their eyes on what Gen 2 will have to offer. New legendary characters are expected, meaning more evolutions and addictive gameplay.

In a previous post, there were a couple of region-specific “Pokemon Go” region-exclusive characters that will join the exiting batch. The current ones include “Mime”, “Tauros”, “Kangaskhan” and “Farfetch’d”.

The word out is that these “Pokemon Go” characters would be joined by some characters from the “Johto” region. You can go over that post here.

While the rares are something to look forward to, there are a lot more rumored to be coming. Much of these were rounded up via the Pokemon Go Informer. There are 12 Gen 1 names in the mix mentioned by Joe Marsalis in another post here on Game & Guide.

Among the names included in that list included “Bellosom”, “Politoed”, “Crobat”, “Slowking”, “Steelix”, “Tyrogue”, “Hitmontop”, “Blissey”, “Kingdra”, “Scizor”, “Espeon”, “Umbreon” and “Porygon 2”. While the list seems a bit too much to digest, one thing most have in common is that majority will be in the final stages of their solutions. There are about three pairs that can be evolved in different ways.

Those are “Bellosom” and “Politoed”, “Tyrogue” and “Hitmontop” and “Espeon” and “Umbreon”. From the looks of it, “Pokemon Go” players will have a lot to look forward to as they try to see which of the new characters in Gen 2 they will end up with.

While the long list is something to look forward to, it would be wise to note that all these are still unofficial. Niantic has yet to confirm the inclusion of these Legendary Pokemons on “Pokemon Go” Gen 2 so it may be best to keep an open mind for now. For now, it would be best to focus on the hard-to-find rares and try to be the next guy to follow Nick Johnson to catch all the characters fair and square!
