Ubisoft VR Games Release Dates, News & Update: 'Eagle Flight' Kicks Off Virtual Reality Roster; 'Star Trek: Bridge Crew' Coming

On Aug. 18, 2016 at GamesCom, Ubisoft announced the launch dates for its upcoming virtual reality (VR) games, namely "Eagle Flight," "Star Trek: Bridge Crew" and "Werewolves Within." Furthermore, "Trackmania Turbo," the arcade racing title, is also bound to get a free patch on PlayStation VR, which will provide virtual reality support.

"Eagle Flight" was created by the FunHouse division of Ubisoft Montreal, and was announced to arrive on October 18 for Oculus Rift. The game will also have a PlayStation VR version, which will become available on November 8, and an HTC Vive version, which will launch on December 20.

The Ubisoft VR game "Eagle Flight" will have gamers take on the role of an eagle, flying over Paris after humans no longer live there. TheUbisoft VR game includes a single-player and multiplayer mode, the latter in the "Capture the Prey" mode.

GameSpot noted that the Ubisoft VR game "Star Trek: Bridge Crew" is a licensed title, created by Red Storm Entertainment of Ubisoft, which will become available on all three major VR platforms beginning on November 29. "Star Trek: Bridge Crew" will have players take on the role of a Federation member inside a Starfleet ship. Gamers can choose between playing the captain or a crew member of the ship.

The third announced Ubisoft VR game, "Werewolves Within," follows a medieval theme and will become available on all three major VR platforms starting on December 6. The title was also developed by Red Storm Entertainment. It is a multiplayer game where players are tasked to find out who is a werewolf among them.

The Ubisoft VR game description stated that players should uncover the werewolves that have been terrorizing the people of the town. The "Werewolves Within" VR games is fast-paced and can include anywhere between five and eight players. All rounds are completely distinct from each other and players can take on the role of a villager or a werewolf.

The free "TrackMania Turbo" patch for PlayStation VR will become available on November 8, writes Polygon. HTC Vive and Oculus Rift are currently ready to play the Ubisoft VR games, while Sony Playstation VR is set to launch in October 2016.
