Angry Birds : Star Wars Gets a New Trailer, Release Date Around the Corner

Being saddled with the name of Luke, I've always had a particular aversion to anything Star Wars related. But after viewing the trailer for the next Angry Birds chapter with a Star Wars spin. Check it out below!

As you can see, each angry bird gets its own Star Wars styled power, bringing a bit more depth to some of the tired Angry Birds additions of late. The classic Red bird gets a Luke Skywalker hairdo with light sabre, the yellow bird gets a Han Solo blaster (note the reflective surfaces, making timing a new and intregal part to puzzles), and so on.

Since it's release by RovioMobile in 2009, the original Angry Birds and all its additions have reached (cumulatively) over one billion downloads. Angry Birds has since branched out onto virtually everything with a screen, be it home consoles, PC's, e-readers, and so on, with new episodes and spin-offs, and now, even plush toys and a clothing line.||

Last year, Rovio said it generated $106 million in revenue. About 30% of that came from licensing agreements and sales of merchandise like Commonwealth's plush toy line, as well as red-bird squeeze pillows, board games, and Halloween costumes. A true success story, Commonwealth now receives dozens of licensing offers from app developers each month.

Already a massive hit with its own audience, this new Star Wars styled addition should help expand Rovio's Bird brand even further (if that's even possible).

Angry Birds: Star Wars is out, as per usual, for just about everything: on iOS, Android, Windows Phone, Kindle Fire, all your favorite Mac devices, PC & Windows, on Nov. 8.

Buy or do not, there is...no try? Or something along those lines.
