‘Girl Meets World’ Season 4 Air Date, Spoilers, News & Update: Fans Call For Series To Transfer To Freeform

Many fans are petitioning for "Girl Meets World" season 4 to air on a different network. Fans want the series to tackle topics that will reflect the maturity of the cast and airing it on Disney Channel may not be the best choice.

Mature Topics For 'Girl Meets World' Season 4

"Girl Meets World" season 4 may just find a new home as fans see Riley (Rowan Blanchard) and Maya (Sabrina Carpenter) mature before their very eyes. This means that creators should also tackle mature topics to properly reflect the characters. From home works to relationships, the characters will continue to explore other issues in their awkward teenage life.

This prompted many fans to start a petition for "Girl Meets World" season 4 to get aired on a different network, BitBag reported. Many fans would like to see the show move out from Disney Channel so the show can discuss more mature topics. Disney Channel is known to target young viewers and "Girl Meets World" may no longer have this kind of audience.

Transferring "Girl Meets World" season 4 to Freeform may actually be great, following the footsteps of its predecessor "Boy Meets World." The show was later transferred to ABC.

'Girl Meets World' Cancelled Instead?

If "Girl Meets World" season 4 will be canceled by Disney Channel, then it would probably find a new home. As earlier reported by Game & Guide, Rowan Blanchard recently left a cryptic message on Twitter that made fans think that the show won't see another season.

More so, Rowan Blanchard reportedly became emotional after filming her last scene for "Girl Meets World" season 3. This inspired many fans to believe that "Girl Meets World" season 4 will not take place. Unless of course, if it gets transferred to Freeform or another network.

As of date, "Girl Meets World" season 4 hasn't been confirmed to air. The show wasn't confirmed to be canceled too. However, creator Michael Jacobs confirmed that "Girl Meets World" season 3 finale will air in 2017
