Get Early Access to Call of Duty: Black Ops 2's Nuketown 2025 Map

Attendees of London's "Black Ops 2 Live" event will be among the first to play the re-imagined Nuketown map a full three days before the game's release.

Activision announced in a press release today that "the hotly anticipated Nuketown 2025 multiplayer map will be exclusively available to play during the epic launch from 10th - 12th November."

Treyarch first announced the Nuketown 2025 map as being available through pre-order of the special editions back in July. Translation, if you're all set to get the "Hardened" or "Care Package" editions, you get the map. And the map will also be available cross-platform, so there won't be any of that exclusive-access-30-day-window nonsense.

The map is a remake of one of the Call of Duty franchises most popular map, Nuketown, which first appeared in Call of Duty: Black Ops. One of the smallest maps, it focused on close quarters combat, and was a bit claustrophobic. Despite the small adjustments to the new map, combat likely won't change too much in the "new" map.
Nuketown 2025 will also feature as a bonus map in Black Ops 2's zombie mode, which is great for any zombie fans who like the old '50's look. It promises to "deliver a heightened level of exciting game play, especially for all multiplayer fans."

Activision describes the Black Ops 2 Live event as "a dedicated e-sports experience" that enables "thousands of fans the opportunity of playing new content for the very first time, bringing to life some of the key features of Multiplayer and e-sports." The event is being held at the Bloomsbury Ballroom, Victoria House, Bloomsbury Square, Holborn, London.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 is out for PC, PS3, and Xbox 360 next week, Nov. 13. The title will also be released on Nintendo's upcoming console, the Wii U.
