‘Call of Duty: Black Ops 3’ Latest News, Release Date & Update: ‘Salvation’ DLC Coming September 6

The last expansion pack for “Call of Duty: Black Ops 3” will be coming next week, with the “Salvation” DLC expected to offer lots of new features for gamers. Expected for the “Salvation” DLC are similar ones that appeared on preceding add-ons led by four multiplayer maps and a new Zombie mission called “Revelations”.

Four new maps

The four new maps for “Salvation” will include “Citadel”, “Micro”, “Outlaw” and “Rupture” – four maps that should be a fitting end to the main protagonists adventures through space and time. “Richtofen”, “Dempsey”, “Takeo” and “Nikolai” will be capping their adventure as they come face-to-face with Doctor Monty in The House. They will have to fend off a zombie horde where at stake are their immortal souls.

While the plot for the main characters should be interesting, the maps are worth checking out individually. Two of them (Outlaw and Rupture) are remastered versions from previous installments with Citadel and Micro promising to be a new challenge.

Citadel is a middle-sized map where a player will have to learn how to navigate within an old abandoned castle against the zombie horde. Micro promises to be a challenging map as well, a small map that will force gamers to come up with tactics without much room to operate.

Outlaw, one of two remastered versions, practically speaks for itself. It is a western style map that offers bigger space to outfox the zombies on the go.

Rupture is the other remastered version taking place in an advanced and high-tech facility. It is a re-imagined version of “Outskirts” from “Call of Duty: World at War”, a facility originally pegged to fix the earth’s atmosphere.

The “Salvation” DLC will retail for $15 independently. Alternatively, it can be purchase via the “Call of Duty: Black Ops 3” Season Pass for $50. It will first come for the PS4 on September 6. The Xbox One and PC versions will follow in October.
