'Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare' Gameplay Release Date, News & Updates: Multiplayer Reveal Set For XP Event; Watch Livestream

Players get to witness the debut gameplay for "Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare" at Activision's multiplayer reveal. Footage of the mode will be featured at the Call of Duty XP event, while others can watch the livestream on the Call of Duty Twitch channel.

IGN reported that Call of Duty XP will happen from Sept. 2 to 4, 2016 in Inglewood, California. Attendees can actually try the "Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare" multiplayer and Zombies in Spaceland modes. There will be a PlayStation VR experience at Call of Duty XP, where players get to man a Jackal fighter jet. They can also play the "Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare" remastered version. Call of Duty XP will also showcase the Call of Duty World Championship finals.

GameSpot noted that Activision will present the footage for "Call of Duty 4" remastered version at the event. "Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare" will launch on Nov. 4, 2016 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. The premium edition, which includes "Modern Warfare Remastered," will be available at $80. Activision, however, did not confirm whether the remastered version will become available in solo form.

"Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare" will have players take on the role of Captain Reyes, a Tier 1 Special Operations pilot and head of the Retribution, one of the last warships of Earth. Reyes will be the leader of what remains of the coalition forces to battle a relentless enemy. The "Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare" campaign will bring players across the solar system, which will include various locations like Earth in a massive war.

The "Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare" Zombies in Spaceland mode is inspired by the 80s and feature "Baywatch" star David Hasselhoff and Paul Reubens. "Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare" Zombies in Spaceland mode will also include the guest appearance of Seth Green, Ike Barinholtz, Jay Pharoah and SasheerZamata. "Game of Thrones" star Kit Harington will actually take on the role of Admiral Salen Koch, the main villain in the story. It will be the first time that the actor plays a villain in any project.
