'Cyberpunk 2077' Release Date, Latest News & Updates: Developer On A Hiring Spree, Seeks Vehicle Gameplay Expert; Flying, Combat Machines Coming

CD Projekt Red continues its work on "Cyberpunk 2077" and is currently looking for several talented individuals to become part of its development team. The latest updates on "Cyberpunk 2007" indicated that there will be land vehicles, aircraft, combat automobiles and a potential war among machines.

"Cyberpunk 2077" is the next big role-playing game (RPG) from the Polish studio. Reportedly, CD Projekt Red is eyeing on a vehicle gameplay programmer who will be tasked to build the entire architecture of vehicle-related code. The expert will also develop the physics of driving and flying in the wide array of vehicles that will be featured in "Cyberpunk 2077."

GameSpot reported that CD Projekt Red has a long hire list, including a vehicle gameplay designer who can create compelling vehicle-based gameplay, including but not limited to, vehicle handling and controls, relevant vehicle-based AI systems and vehicle combat. The "Cyberpunk 2077" studio is looking for a concept artist who will create technical concepts for machines, weapons and vehicles.

There are over 60 available positions for "Cyberpunk 2077" on the CD Projekt Red careers website. Successfully hired individuals may have to be assigned at the studio's main headquarters in Warsaw and Krakow, Poland. They will be working abroad for a limited period only, with the studio handling all travel and accommodations.

Marcin Iwinski, co-founder of CD Projekt Red, stated that they will avoid talking about "Cyberpunk 2077" until they actually have developments to present. Their company prefers to show the product as they explain it, so there will not be any news about the game until they have something tangible to exhibit.

GameRant revealed that "Cyberpunk 2077" has a dystopian future setting. There are not a lot of details regarding the storyline, characters and in-game content. "Cyberpunk 2077" is said to include a multiplayer mode. The game is being developed in collaboration with Mike Pondsmith, who serves as RPG designer.

Marcin Przybylowicz, who previously worked on "The Witcher 3," will serve as composer in "Cyberpunk 2077." The game will most likely launch for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC, although the official launch date has yet to be announced.
