“Diablo 4’ News & Update: Future of the Fourth Installment Bleak After Game Director Resigns

"Diablo" game director Josh Mosqueira has resigned from Blizzard, initiating speculations that, the rumored "Diablo 4" will be cancelled even before it started. However, strong rumors suggests, his recent hiring for a secret project is about the remake of "Diablo 2" HD, instead of the likely "Diablo 3" expansion.

In a recent report by the Movie News Guide, there are reports that its will be easier for Blizzard to tackle on a "Diablo 3" expansion, than starting all over with a new "Diablo 4" entry. The process is intricate and the team that will handle the project needs to be very familiar with the game. This is not something that Blizzard can afford to provide at the moment.

According to TheBitBag, even if Blizzard is able to find a good director for the game, it will take longer for them to build a new team. "Diablo 4" is not possible at the moment. After the third installment of "Diablo" experienced a huge success, Blizzard is far from ruining that by attempting to proceed with "Diablo 4."

However, if the alleged leaked "Diablo 4" plans indicated in the BlizzCon 2016 poster is any indication that Blizzard is thinking about the fourth installment, then fans should wait and see whether it's going to be a "Diablo 2" Remake HD, a "Diablo 3" Expansion or the rumored "Diablo 4" game.

BlizzCon 2016 is set to launch on the 4th of November 2016. Until then, players will not be able to confirm on what's next on the "Diablo" series. Did Blizzard hinted on a new title when they posted their need for an experienced designer to "lead the "Diablo" series into the future?" What could possibly arrive that will surprise fans in the upcoming BlizzCon 2016?
