Bungie's Destiny: Leaked Details And Concept Art Surface

Bungie, creators of Halo is developing its forthcoming game Destiny. Its details and concept art have been leaked.

The details include the story background of the game. The game is set in future Earth which has undergone a brief colonisation of the stars. Humankind has been attacked by aliens and has been cornered to a single city on planet Earth that is protected by a big, mysterious alien spacecraft. These aliens are the good ones, Kotaku reported.

"Our story begins seven hundred years from now in the Last City on Earth, in a Solar System littered with the ruins of man's Golden Age. A massive, mysterious alien ship hangs overhead like a second Moon. No one knows where it came from or what it's here for, but only that it's our protector. Meanwhile, strange, alien monsters creep in from the edge of the universe, determined to take Earth and the Last City. We are young 'knights' tasked with defending the remains of humanity, discovering the source of these monsters and - eventually - overcoming it," noted the document that was sent to IGN.

The large alien ship was named as "the Traveller" in the document.

Players have to don the role space knight where they have to travel in the space and have to fight aliens.

Destiny has been described as "fun and accessible to all," aiming "to create a universe as deep, tangible and relatable as that of the Star Wars franchise."

Bungie seems to aim this game at players of multiple age group.

"Destiny is designed for your inner seven year old. We want to make it feel like a mythic adventure," said a quote from Jason Jones, co-founder, Bungie.

The document describes Destiny's gameplay as "social at its core," offering "a world to explore with friends, both old and new."

In 2011, Bungie had said that the game was an MMO, and later it added it was a joke.

"Go ahead. Take a peek. It's alright. We weren't quite ready, but we will be soon, and we can't wait to finally show you what we've really been up to," Bungie said on its Web site.

"Stick around, we haven't even started yet."

Destiny will be released on Xbox 360 first and later to PlayStation 3, Xbox 720, PlayStation and PC.
