Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2 to Make Gameplay Debut at Spike's Video Game Awards

Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2 is set to show everyone what its gameplay will be like soon enough. A short teaser (seen below) clued fans in on the time and place - Dec. 7, at Spike's TV Video Game Awards.

I really hope that was just a tongue in cheek reference to Symphony of the Night, and not what the actual game dialogue will be like.

We've seen some glimpses of what Gabriel has turned into, but Spike's 10th Annual VGA will be the first time we'll see actual gameplay footage. If the trailer was any indication, gameplay won't change too much. Of course, Konami could still completely throw us for a loop and have as play as someone besides a supercharged vampire powerhouse.

According to Lords of Shadow 2's producer Dave Cox, this game will end the close the Shadow saga. With the sequel, Konami and company are "looking to provide series fans yet another nail biter, complete with Dracula's resurrection and the Belmont clan's desire for his final destruction."

For those who didn't play the first game, Castlevania: Lords of Shadow was a reboot for the franchise that saw Gabriel, patriarch of the Belmont clan, ultimately become what the Belmonts come to fight against for centuries, the vampire Dracula.

This year's VGA's will be hosted by Samuel L. Jackson, possibly as a giant baby.

Viewers can watch the award show on Spike TV, 9PM EST, or on Spike.com. Other games to be featured include The Last of Us, Gears of War: JudgementSouth Park: The Stick of Truth, and more.
