‘Red Dead Redemption' Latest News & Update: Remastered Version Coming to PS4

A "Red Dead Redemption Remaster" is coming to the PS4 console soon, Korean outlet GameFocus reports. According to the site, which was translated by several others, the game is currently under development for the PS4, Xbox One and PC platforms.

According to the report, an HD version of the game is all set to be released alongside the new PlayStation Neo or possibly, the Xbox One Slim. The "Red Dead Redemption Remaster" has been talked about online for the past few weeks. Since the Red Dead Redemption arrived on the Xbox One backwards compatibility feature, a lot has been said about the game, including a sequel.

On Wednesday, September 7, Sony is scheduled to host its PlayStation meeting in New York. They are expected to make some announcement about the PlayStation Neo along with the game that will bundle with it.

Meanwhile, speculations about its sequel may eventually get an answer if indeed, a "Red Dead Redemption Remaster" is coming. As reported by NeoGaf, the new remastered game will get its full Korean localization. This is opposed to the game's previous version wherein, it had an english subtitles, but its physical copies were translated to Korean.

Despite announcing the "Red Dead Redemption Remaster" for the Xbox One console too, NeoGaf's resources can only confirm that it will arrive on the PS4 and PC platform. Now, it looks like fans are getting the double treat after the game arrived on the backwards compatibility feature; it's back with an apparent remaster.

Previous reports also revealed how Rockstar wanted the Red Dead Redemption to be a franchise title, but that was amid the issue of the title getting a sequel. In fact, other spoilers suggest, it could be a prequel, that tells the story before the "Red Dead Redemption" happened.
