‘Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare’ Release Date, News & Update: ‘Zombies in Spaceland’ Brings Original Campaign, Mini-Games In 80s Theme [GAMEPLAY VIDEO]

"Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare" was recently discussed by Infinity Ward, providing details regarding the design of the game's "Zombies in Spaceland" co-op mode, including its '80's era theme. It was also revealed that the game developers worked on the latest video game for three years.

According to "Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare" Infinity Ward senior producer Lee Ross, the co-op mode is a journey through time, as the game is set in a space-themed park in the '80's. Ross also stated that the characters that will be portrayed are the usual '80's film stereotypes such as the jock.  He further confirmed that the game mode is not connected to the main game.

The senior producer also revealed that the "Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare" will have the different equipment and weapons with the multiplayer and campaign modes, although the co-op mode is going to have an original style. Moreover, the players are going to have a different experience as compared to the other regular modes, Digital Trends reported.

The game developers also confirmed that the map of the game is going to be fully interactive, and will have numerous weapons, including great music tracks. However, they also stated that the "Zombies in Spaceland" should provide fun, instead of being taken seriously.

According to Ross, the game will have new features such as the Afterlife Arcade, which appears like a mini-game. He stated that when players die in a round, they will be transported to the '80s themed Arcade. Players can also earn points with various games such as the classic Activision 2600 games as well as basketball shooting.  A high score can enable them to go back into the game before the round is finished, IGN reported.

"Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare" demo that has been tried out was reportedly filled with humor and the theme of an amusement park. However, while others were happy with the game, some are expecting for a more intense combat and actual progression. Watch the official "Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare" reveal trailer here.
