‘Resident Evil 7’ DLC News & Updates: Images From Preorder Bonus DLC Recently Leaked, What You Need To Know

Images of the "Resident Evil 7" preorder bonus DLC were recently leaked, showing several familiar items from the franchise. The preorder bonus DLC was unveiled together with the main "Resident Evil 7" title.

The Swedish retailer Discshop recently leaked photos of the pack. On its "Resident Evil 7" page, the online store featured four unique item packs, namely the Handgun Set, Burner Set, Chem Fluid Set and Recovery Set. The contents of the sets are not yet detailed, but some include classic "Resident Evil" items. The Handgun Set will allegedly feature ammo, while the Recovery Set will include herbs. The Chem Fluid Set will showcase a type of healing item, while the Burner Set can be used together with a rumored flamethrower weapon.

The "Resident Evil" DLC, called the Survival Pack, will unlock the hardest difficulty early in the game. Although Tim Turi, social media representative of Capcom, previously kept many of the details about "Resident Evil 7" under wraps, he may be compelled to share more after the leak. "Resident Evil 7" is said to be set after the events of "Resident Evil 6," particularly in an old plantation mansion. There will be a new protagonist, Ethan, who is not as skilled compared to previous heroes of the franchise, as well as a new cast of characters.

GameSpot noted that every "Resident Evil 7" set was featured with coins of various sizes, colors and types. There were gold, copper and bronze coins. It is still uncertain whether the coin will be the currency in the upcoming game, or whether these will be useful in solving mysteries. The "Resident Evil 7" demo included special items that proved to be effective in puzzles, such as the axe, dummy finger and ghost girl.

"Resident Evil 7" is scheduled to launch on Jan. 24, 2017 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. Players who preorder the Deluxe edition for $80 will get access to two additional pieces of content. The first piece showcases four short side stories, while the second piece provides an extra episode to "Resident Evil 7." More updates and details are expected soon.
