‘Pokemon Go’ Plus Latest News & Update: Wearable Device Receiving Negative Reviews? Players Complaining About Pokemon Fleeing Away During Device Use

Some Reditors are not happy about the "Pokemon GO" Plus, an add-on accessory that can interact with the original game. They are of the opinion that the accessory's price tag of $34.99 is not worth the benefits it offers.

"Pokemon GO" Plus has received a limited release. Moreover, many are of the opinion that the already-limited uses of the accessory have not proved to be as helpful as was advertised. As per International Business Times, the device was expected to help catch Pokemon that owners have already encountered.

However, the device simply throws a standard Pokeball instead. Thus, shiny monsters requiring stronger Pokeballs may not be caught with the device. Some "Pokemon GO" users who got their hands on the device have shared screenshots showing that the majority of Pokemon actually fled and weren't caught. This shortcoming does not at all justify the price tag.

The Bitbag says that players will be able to play the game using the "Pokemon GO" Plus without the need to check the handset screens. Even though the device requires pairing, it can also be a separate peripheral.

Some reports have suggested that the "Pokemon GO" Plus device is basically "a Poke Ball mixed with a Google Maps pin." The device connects to the smartphone via Bluetooth LE. The device can be worn as a bracelet or can be clipped to one's attire.

When a Pokemon surfaces, the "Pokemon GO" Plus device lights up and the user need to throw a Pokeball using the peripheral button to catch the Pokemon. The device apparently also helps collect Berries, Pokeballs, Eggs and other items in the set PokeStops without the need of a smartphone.

"Pokemon GO" Plus works for both iOS and Android smartphones. The accessory is out-of-stock in most places. Players who want the device should keep a tab on GameStop and Amazon.
