With the recent release of Playstation 4 Pro and the impending arrival of Xbox Scorpio, Rockstar Games could be planning to develop "Red Dead Redemption 2" to be Virtual Reality compatible. As the Xbox Scorpio is predicted to be powerful enough to support such feature.

As reported by NeuroGadget, "The game will be released for all latest gen consoles, including PlayStation 4 Pro and Xbox Scorpio, so it will be played at a 4K HD resolution." If this news is true, then "Red Dead Redemption 2" might see the light of day late 2017 or on a date which is close to the release of Xbox Scorpio.

Another claim that might just support this rumor is that "Red Dead Redemption's" Xbox Compatibility program was a big hit. Take-Two Interactive even included it in their financial report. Here's an excerpt "Made Red Dead Redemption available as part of Microsoft's Xbox One Backward Compatibility program, enabling owners of the Xbox 360 versions of Red Dead Redemption, Red Dead Redemption Undead Nightmare, and Red Dead Redemption: Game of the Year Edition to play the game on Xbox One. In addition, Red Dead Redemption is now available for purchase through digital download from the Games Store on Xbox One."

"Red Dead Redemption" was previously ranked at 1093 but after the announcement of its Xbox compatibility release, it jumped up to the 17th spot which is a big leap, garnering up to 6329% in sales increase. With the massive success of "Red Dead Redemption" in its Xbox compatibility program, it's only logical to push through with "Red Dead Redemption 2" as soon as possible.
