Nintendo NX Latest News & Update: What Ubisoft Has to Say About the New Gaming Platform

Once again, Nintendo is setting the trend on gaming platforms, giving away some details about the new Nintendo NX. It's definitely not a console, but game developers are already gushing about the new device.

Recent reports even confirmed that, Foxconn, Nintendo's dedicated OEM has started the initial production of the handheld device Nintendo NX. Even Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot had his eyes on the new device saying, the machine is very attractive. Besides, it's easy to use, Guillemot said, it's a revolutionized device that will steer gamers from the conventional gaming platform today.

He believes that, Nintendo acted in a way that follows the trend of the gaming world, without compromising the extent of gaming experience. He also added "I think it's a really new approach, it's really Nintendo, coming with something new again. We love it."

The Nintendo NX was first reported as a console, but as its launching nears, it's leaning more on the idea that it is going to be a handheld gaming platform. When asked whether the NX might get the same treatment as the Wii U, a sales failure in the long run, Guillemot said, he doubts it. Apparently, publishers learn from their experience and if the Wii U failed in any way, Nintendo must have learned from that, and will not take the same route.

He also added that, machine disruptions are part of their development risks. Taking those risks as positive feedback allows them to recreate something that a brand can actually function in the long run.

The Nintendo NX will not arrive until March next year and the company has yet, to make official announcement of its final release date. What do you think of the new Nintendo NX console? Is it going to be a success? Or receive the same fate as the Wii U platform?
