'Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered' Release Date, Latest News & Update: You're Going To Love The New Trailer [VIDEO]

The "Call of Duty" series is known for putting out a lot of entries in the franchise, and it's all good so long as their fans remain happy. We're getting "Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare" soon enough, but for those feeling pangs of nostalgia, Activision is getting into the whole remastering trend by putting out "Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered."

"Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered" was first announced by Activision at E3 earlier this year, with an accompanying trailer for the game's single-player campaign mode. Players found out that they'll be getting it when they go buy "Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare," which is already available for preorder. Last Thursday, however, the company finally put out some new cinematic footage of the story mode, providing a really fresh look at a classic game.

Of course, you get to play once again as Sergeant John "Soap" MacTavish (still the weirdest name for a soldier in a video game, ever) in "Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered"'s campaign mode, which takes you to Russia and the Middle East. It's still the same story with the same gameplay controls and mechanics, only that the current-gen graphics will serve as a "reintroduction" to players both old and new—hopefully without too much of the issues existing in remasters.

"Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered" will only be available as a bundle with "Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare"'s Legacy, Digital Deluxe, and/or Legacy Pro editions, which will launch on November 4 for PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4, according to VideoGamer.com. PlayStation 4 players will get the game an entire month—that's tomorrow—earlier than other players due to Activision's exclusivity deal with Sony. The game will ship with 16 maps, with 10 of those being available at launch, while the six other maps will come later in December.
