'Darkstalkers: Resurrection's' Launch Trailer Is Live, Out on PSN and XBLA On Tuesday

With "Darkstalkers: Resurrection" releasing on XBox Live and PSN on Tuesday, Capcom is releasing the game's launch trailer so everyone can get nice and anticipated. Check it out below.

The "Darkstalkers" series was another entry in the long list of Capcom's arcade classics. Despite a unique cast and fast-paced action, it never reached the same level of prominence as the "Street Fighter" series. But it looks like it's ready to try again.

"Resurrection" is actually two games together, the sequel to the original fighter, "Night Warriors: Darkstalkers Revenge," and "Darkstalkers 3." Each game has a slew of features added in, including classic arcade mode, a tutorial for newcomers, replay mode so you can relish in your victories and conquest of enemies, and a spectator mode so up to eight can watch a fight and comment on it live.

Players can also access various extras from the game's vault, like movies, concept art, skins, etc.

Despite an intimidating cast full of classic monsters like a mer-man, zombie, Frankenstein monster, and of course, a cat-lady stripper, as well as others, "Darkstalkers" never took itself too seriously, especially with regard to some the of game's characters and their more outlandish super moves. A zombie sporting a chainsaw for a leg turns his opponent into a basketball, and slam dunks him or her through a ghoulish rim. Need I say more? Well, there's also the butt bashing Victor who discharges electricity from his gluteus maximus, and the werewolf who's a master with nunchucks. If you're a fan of fighters and never bothered to try it before, give it a whirl when it arrives tomorrow.
