MacBook Pro 2016 Release Date, News & Update: Launch Finally Confirmed? Apple Sends Out Media Invites Mac-Related Event! Specs & Features Revealed

After months of a rumored October event, Cupertino-based tech giant, Apple, Inc., has finally confirmed that this said event is indeed happening. Rumors were also rife that Apple will introduce a new MacBook Pro 2016 at the event, and it turns out that the company has already distributed media invites to the event, happening on Oct. 27, 10 a.m. at Apple's campus.

The Apple media invite didn't specifically mention that MacBook Pro 2016 will be launched at the said event, but according to The Verge, the tagline on the invite, which states "hello again," clearly indicates that the event involves anything Mac-related. As per the publication, Mac was first introduced in 1984 with a "hello."

Prior to sending media invites, sources already confirmed to Recode that Apple already planned for the Oct. 27 event, which the publication considers as something expected. Apple recently introduced the MacOS Sierra in September, but never launched an updated hardware that will run the new software. In addition, Apple's decision to have new hardware - presumably MacBook Pro 2016, among others -available to the public is perfectly timed for the holidays.

Although Apple hasn't revealed the lineup for the Oct. 27 event, speculation is rife that there will be new Macs introduced and that MacBook Pro 2016 will steal the spotlight. Rumor also has it that Apple will finally introduce a revamped 2012 Macbook Pro.

As stated in the report from MacRumors, the MacBook Pro 2016 will be thinner, lighter and wider. It is expected to come in two variants - 13-inch and 15-inch laptops. USB-Type C port has also been long rumored as the type of connection the device will use. Earlier reports also suggested that the redesigned laptop will have OLED touch panel that features the Touch ID technology.

Aside from the MacBook Pro 2016, the upcoming Apple event is rumored to showcase the iMac 2016 and MacBook Air 2016. Fans will know for sure what Apple has in store since it Oct. 27 is just a week away. More updates should be available soon so stay tuned to GamenGuide.
