Android Nougat News & Update: Google’s Android 7.0 Nougat & Android 7.1 Nougat Beta Now Released! Will Your Device Get It?

The anticipated Google's Android Nougat OS has been released now on some devices! Nexus devices got Android 7.0 while the Google Pixel and Pixel XL have received the Android 7.1 Beta. Other Smartphone brand owners may need to wait to when they will receive the update.

Tagged as "Android your own," Google's latest OS Android Nougat brags features that will definitely satisfy Smartphone owners who will receive the update. But, the question is when and what devices are going to receive the update?

According to Gadgets360, Android Nougat developer preview is out now on Nexus 6P, Nexus 5X, Nexus Player and Google Pixel C, while the official OTA release will be pushed in December. In addition, Nexus 6, Nexus 9, and supported Android One device, will receive the OTA update of Android Nougat 7.1. But, Google has yet to confirm which Android devices will get the update.

In a TechRadar report, Sony already announced which phones will receive the Android Nougat update, but there is no specific date as to when it will be released. First on their list are the flagship phone models, Xperia XZ and Xperia X Compact. Also, it will be available to Xperia Z3+, Xperia Z4 Tablet, Xperia Z5, Xperia Z5 Compact, Xperia Z5 Premium, Xperia X, Xperia XA, Xperia XA Ultra and Xperia X Performance. However, Sony Xperia Z3 will not get the full update, but instead it will receive a developer preview update.

Moreover, Motorola phones will also have their update of Android Nougat, such as Moto Z and Moto G (Gen 4) and Moto G Plus (Gen 4) will get the first update. Also, other Motorola phones are Moto G Play (Gen 4), Moto X Pure Edition (Gen 3), Moto X Style, Moto X Play, Moto X Force, Droid Turbo 2, Droid Maxx 2, Moto Z Play, Moto Z Force Droid, Moto Z Play Droid, and Moto Z Droid.

HTC phones will also get the update for HTC 10, One A9, One M9 and HTC Bolt, while LG has not yet announced which of their devices will receive the update, except for V20 that will have it straight from the box. However, LG is said to be developing a custom UI of Android Nougat for their phones.  

Additionally, OnePlus is currently working with their Android Nougat update for their flagship phone, OnePlus 3. Also, their previous flagship phone OnePlus 2 will get the update, but there are no reports yet whether their other devices are set to have the latest OS release.

Meanwhile, other manufacturers like Samsung, Huawei, and Xiaomi has no official statement yet which of their devices will get the Android Nougat. However, it's expected of them that their latest Smartphone and flagship phones will receive the latest OS update.
