Surface Pro 5 Release Date, News & Update: Microsoft No News About Much-Awaited Device?

There will be no Surface Pro 5 that will be released this year. The recently concluded Microsoft Event has no announcement made about it. Instead, Microsoft focused on delivering other things that they will deliver to their consumers.

The rumors that the Surface Pro 5 will be released this year have been turned down after Microsoft did not mention any details about the anticipated device in their recent event. However, Microsoft's center of interest is about the Windows 10 updates and other devices.

According to TNW report, Microsoft announced about an update on the Surface Book, but there was no word about Surface Pro 5. Also, the tech giant unveils its new product, the Surface Studio, which is definitely for creative minds and designers who wanted to use a complete studio in one hand.

Unlike Surface Pro 5, the Surface Book is a Microsoft laptop. The company announced that the newest version of Surface Book has twice the graphics performance packed with an Intel i7 processor, Nvidia GeForce GTX 965M 2Gb chip and an added 30 percent battery capacity.

Since there has no clear announcement about the Surface Pro 5, comparison from the previous model builds expectations about the improvements they wanted to see in the anticipated model. Rumors are spreading that the new laptop will be released in spring of 2017.

According to Tech Radar, expectations for the Surface Pro 5 price will start at $899 (£749, AU$1,349) and increase depending on specs and accessories it has. Also, buyers anticipate an upgrade of the tablet's stylus which features a built-in rechargeable system.

Moreover, it is speculated that Surface Pro 5 will sport the most-awaited processor of Intel, the Intel Kaby Lake processor. It is reported to come with RAM variations from 8GB up to 16GB of RAM paired with an AMD or Nvidia GPU. Also, there are rumors that it will come with the newest Microsoft OS called RedStone OS.

In addition, the display is rumored to have 12.3 inch Pixel Sense display with two variants of resolution to choose, the 2k screen resolution and the 4K screen resolution. Also, it could sport a 16 MP for its rear camera and 8 MP of front camera.

While there is still no official announcement about Surface Pro 5, Microsoft supporters can still look forward to the recent update of Windows 10. There will be MyPeople task bar app, which users can connect and interact with an SMS Relay feature where you can view and reply text messages directly from the laptop. Also, expect Dolby Atmos, custom tournaments, and high-end gaming to Xbox players.
