‘ARMA 3’ Alpha Update 0.54 Now Out

Bohemia Interactive's new patch 0.54 for the "ARMA 3" alpha version is now out. The patch brings a new fog technology, adjustable sidearm options and a few other stability fixes as well.

There are some much needed improvements that have been made to the game via patch 0.54 including tweaked transitions from ragdoll, the MH-9’s ability to carry more soldiers, new animations for swimming with rifles, new secondary shadow LODs (glasses, bandoleer, belt, rebreather), adjusted priority actions in the actions menu and more.

The game engine also sees some major improvements and additions. The changes include fixed AI disembarking when moving to another vehicle position incorrectly, a fix for the destruction of vehicles while manipulating objects in the inventory, a fix for free fall inventory access, tweaks for AI running up and down hill, a fix for a case where RMB to equip did not work for binoculars, and others.

The patch will be auto-downloaded from Steam. The game is available as part of Steam's early access program and buying the game gets you alpha access. Players can also send invitations to people known as "ARMA 3" Alpha Lite, which has an expiration date and permits fans to play the singleplayer content of the title.
