'Hawaii Five-O' Season 7 Spoilers: Steve McGarrett's Past and Present Loves Meet; His Relationship With His Mom Reaches Turning Point

Before “Hawaii Five-O” Season 7 premiered, it was often teased that two very important but estranged women in Steve McGarrett’s life will be brought back. Now, in this week’s episode which also happens to be the much anticipated 150th milestone episode, his mother and old flame will be back as promised.

Episode 7 titled "Ka Makuahine A Me Ke Keikikane," or “Mother and Son”, according to “Hawaii Five-O” spoilers, could herald a welcome turning point in Steve’s (Alex O’Loughlin) relationship with his mother Doris (Christine Lahti). For the longest time, the two have not been in the best of terms in their relationship.

In the coming “Hawaii Five-O” episode however, Steve will suddenly find past girlfriend Catherine (Michelle Borth) knocking on his door with the news that his mother has been put to prison according to Cartermatt. Steve will immediately assemble a team together in order to try to break Doris out before she gets executed for trying to free Yao Fat (George Cheung). He is the father of Wo Fat (Mark Dacascos), Steve’s late rival.

In the 100th episode of “Hawaii Five-O”, speculations rose that Steve and Wo Fat are actually brothers. The coming 150th episode may finally answer the unanswered question or at least shed some light on his mother’s secret life specially in light of the recent events that led to her imprisonment.

Yao Fat was previously believed to be dead but was later on revealed in “Hawaii Five-O” to have just been imprisoned at an undisclosed location by the U.S. government. It is also Doris who caused the death of his wife many years ago,

Meanwhile, promo stills published in Spoiler TV from the upcoming “Hawaii Five-O” episode indicate that complications could arise when Catherine meets Steve’s new girlfriend Lynn Downey ( Sarah Carter). Whether Steve and Catherine’s short reunion may lead to their reconciliation or may bring a definitive closure to their relationship remain to be seen in the episode.

Elsewhere in the same “Hawaii Five-O” episode, Chin (Daniel Dae Kim) will be dealt a tough blow as his appeal to delay his niece Sara’s (Londyn Slizer) adoption is denied. He needs to accept the fact that she will have to leave soon for Mexico. Chin’s only remaining hope is that Will Coughlin (Inigo Rademacher), the federal prosecutor looking into the backgrounds of Sara’s alleged relatives, will be able to pull through for him.

"Hawaii Five-0" Season 7 episode 7 and the series’ 150th will air on Friday, November 4, on CBS.
