'Xbox One Backwards Compatibility' Update: Microsoft Celebrates Feature’s Anniversary; Exciting Offers May Happen

Xbox's Larry Hryb, also known as Major Nelson recently said on Reddit, they're planning on celebrating the Xbox One backwards compatibility feature this end of the month. The statement came after Finders.Com mistakenly said, Microsoft is about to make some big announcement. Hryb on his part said, it's a simple celebration and they are definitely not making any big announcement at the end of the month.

According to Attack of the Fanboy, the Xbox One backwards compatibility feature started on November 12, 2015 and in few days time, the Microsoft feature will celebrate its first year anniversary. Unfortunately, Hryb did not disclose any details about the planned event. Despite that, many fans are hoping for more titles on the backwards compatible game.

Meanwhile, some of the few Xbox One backwards compatibility titles that arrived on the feature last week include "Limbo," "Blue Dragon," "Shred Nebula," "Killer is Dead" and "RAGE." Looking through how Microsoft releases the latest backwards compatible titles, we should be able to see some new games from Tuesday until Thursday when Major Nelson usually make the announcement on twitter.

For now, some of the most requested games that players want to see on the Xbox One backwards compatibility list include, "Skate 3," "BioShock Series" and "Call of Duty: Black Ops II." Xbox head Phil Spencer also remained quiet on the possible titles coming this November.

Take note that, if you previously owned the Xbox One backwards compatibility titles on your Xbox 360 console, the game will automatically appear on the Xbox One library. Otherwise, players will need to purchase the game and manually download it on the Xbox One console.

Have you seen your personal choice included on the list? Are you looking forward to the next Xbox One backwards compatibility list this month? Make sure to check them all here on GameNGuide.
