XBLA Hit Fez Now Available On PC

Phil Fish’s Fez, the popular classic on Xbox Live Arcade, is now available on PC.

PC gamers can now experience the intricate puzzle-based title on Steam, GOG or by purchasing it from Polytron. Buying the game from Polytron directly will give the company a higher cut of the profits.

This is a big decision for the indie company, as Fez is just over a year old on Xbox Live Arcade and already has managed to sell over 200,000 copies since launch. Fish has also confirmed that the game’s Linux version will “eventually follow,” and that he’s “working with Sony” in an attempt to make the game available for PlayStation Vita.

As far as a Wii U version of the game is concerned, Fish earlier tweeted: “The only way a Fez Wii U port could happen is if Nintendo paid for and handled the port themselves. Which I highly doubt will ever happen.”

For those who don’t remember Fez at all, GOG writes: “Gomez is a 2D creature living in a 2D world. Or is he? When the existence of a mysterious 3rd dimension is revealed to him, Gomez is sent out on a journey that will take him to the very end of time and space. Use your ability to navigate 3D structures from 4 distinct classic 2D perspectives.”

“Explore a serene and beautiful open-ended world full of secrets, puzzles and hidden treasures. Unearth the mysteries of the past and discover the truth about reality and perception, in this phenomenal puzzle-platformer!”

The $9.99 for Fez is a sweet deal on Steam, with fans having the option to purchase a bundle worth $14.99, which includes the game's soundtrack.
