‘The Sims 4 City Living’ Latest News & Update: Festival Bug Ignores Hunger Meter, Impacts Fitness Settings

"The Sims 4" recently became a bigger game with the release of the "City Living" expansion pack that added city-themed activities, along with the new San Myshuno location. However, a gaming bug may have affected a Sim's hunger meter especially during in-game festivals.

An exciting city-vibe and other interesting gameplay features were added to Electronic Arts' popular life simulation game with the new "The Sims 4 City Living" DLC. Gamers were given the chance to move their Sim character to the vibrant city of San Myshuno. Apart from meeting new neighbors in the game's new apartments, Sims can also enjoy uniquely themed festivals that happen all around the city.

However, some gamers have noticed what appears to be a bug whenever Sim characters attend various "City Living" festivals, Kotaku reported. Some Sims cannot seem to stop ordering dishes from the game's new food stalls.

Despite a full or green Hunger meter, Sims will autonomously eat and reorder dishes once they have consumed their food. Players can opt to cancel the said action, however, gamers who would have their Sim family attend a festival may have a hard time controlling all the characters.

Several Simmers have also noticed a weight gain in some of their Sim characters. Similar to real life, constantly eating several dishes will result to obesity in Electronic Arts' game.

A few "The Sims 4" gamers even described the said game bug as silly, but it has become an annoying gameplay element for some players. At this time, it is still unclear if game developers will release a patch to address the said glitch.

Meanwhile, many gamers have been complaining of the game's lagging and freezing issues following the recent Origin system update and the deployment of "The Sims 4" patch. Gaming tips posted on the fansite SimsVIP identified temporary measures that players can follow to minimize the said issue.

Gamers who use "The Sims 4" mods may need to remove a few mods that may not be compatible with the game's latest version. Choosing Origin's "go offline" option will also help to resolve the issue.

"The Sims 4" latest "City Living" expansion pack was released on Nov. 1 for PC and MAC. Watch the game's "City Living: Festival" trailer below:
