'Fallout 4' PS4 Mods Release Date, News & Update: 11 New PS4 Mods For Bethesda Game Now Available? Confirmed Arriving This Month?

Ever since Sony and Bethesda announced that "Fallout 4" will be getting PlayStation 4 mods soon, players have been up in arms waiting for its release. Now, it looks like they're finally getting their wish, as Bethesda announced that the next update for "Fallout 4" would be the PS4 mods this month.

What went down before

It's been an uphill struggle to get "Fallout 4" PS4 mods live. Initially, Sony and Bethesda had difficulty compromising and negotiating certain limitations should the mods indeed happen on their platform. It's been reported that Sony had imposed several restrictions on "Fallout 4" PS4 mods, including a much smaller mods storage space on PS4 as compared to XBox One, and prohibited using external assets in the creation of mods.

Thankfully, it seems as if both studios have finally come to a deal, as Bethesda finally updated its Creation Kit to include "Fallout 4" PS4 mods. However, these remain plugins only and cannot be archived on Bethesda.net yet.

'Fallout 4' PS4 mods currently available

Currently, there's 11 "Fallout 4" PS4 mods available, according to PlayStationLifestyle, with each coming up at less than 1 MB. Players can expect more mods to come in the next couple weeks leading up to the official launch date of "Fallout 4" PS4 mods.

Among the "Fallout 4" PS4 mods available now are the Cheat Container, which adds a toolbox of 10,000 units of each building component; the Wacky Weapons Workshop, which changes construction costs and allows the application of most gun mods to most guns. Lastly, the Raider Radio, which restores all music from the Nuka World DLC.

Other updates for 'Fallout 4' PS4 mods

Apart from these, Bethesda also instituted a couple of updates for "Fallout 4," including updates for Mods searches and rating, glitches that cause crashes, among others. These are currently live on the PC version and will eventually roll out to the other platforms. Stay tuned for more news on "Fallout 4" PS4 mods.
