German Retailer Has Grand Theft Auto V Listed for PC Release

According to Gematsu, at least two German websites have the upcoming Grand Theft Auto V marked for release on PC.

As "mein deutsche" is virtually non existent, we'll have to rely on their translation. The site claims that both Amazon Germany and GamesOnly have the game listed for PC, despite the lack of an official announcement from Rockstar.

Additionally, Gematsu reports that "a listing of a special edition for the game was briefly put up by GamesOnly before they promptly took it down. The special edition was said to contain the following in addition to a copy of the game.

  • SteelBook with exclusive artwork
  • World map
  • Stunt-planes challenges
  • Online-store concessions
  • Bonus outfits
  • Bonus tattoos
  • Special abilities booster
  • Exclusive weapons

Although the listing's been removed, a rep from GamesOnly apparently confirmed the existence of such a edition to a member of a GTA fan site known as GTA-extreme.de."

Amazon France similarly had the game listed for PC release, as did EB Games.

A petition to have the game hit PC now has over 170,000 signatures since being posted over 6 months ago. Rockstar said in October, "for those asking about the PC platform, we're currently focused on the Xbox 360 and PS3 versions of the game and don't have any details to share about a PC version at this time."

Dan Houser said, "everything else is up for consideration" about Grand Theft Auto's expansion into PC platform, IGN reports.
