‘Family Guy’ News & Update: Seth MacFarlane Casts Doubts Over Show’s Future after Trump Victory; More Details on Hit Cartoon Series Here!

Donald John Trump, the 45th President of the United States, is a "rambling, incoherent creature" - that is, according to "Family Guy" creator Seth MacFarlane. MacFarlane's series of tweets express an entirely opposite nature from the hit animated series. Known for its crude humor, "Family Guy" is inarguably comical but maybe, not for long.

Following Trump's win, celebrities have been noticeably posting their reactions on social media. It's easy to notice that most of them were disappointed with the results, and the creator of "Family Guy" is clearly one of them, which is perfectly summarized on this Twitter exchange:

"@SethMacFarlane on the bright side of Trump being president, 'Family Guy' will have funny Tump (sic) references," said one follower of MacFarlane. The director and actor's reply didn't quite reciprocate the fan's suggestion. "That presupposes I can still stomach working for Fox after this," the creator of "Family Guy" tweeted back.

While this doesn't cement the notion of "Family Guy" pulling its plug, it does send quite a negative vibe. After all, it's one of the few TV shows left that stage jabs only they can pull off.

MacFarlane's history with Fox spans an impressive 20 years. The right-wing TV network is home to "Family Guy" and his other works that he either produced or created. This includes "Bordertown," "The Cleveland Show," and "American Dad!"

While Fox News "was not created by politicians and is not funded by a political party," a significant portion of Americans has noted of their alleged conservative bias coverage. With Trump in the White House, controversy once again looms above the TV network.

"Family Guy" is currently in its fifteenth season and has aired 274 episodes to date. Previously, MacFarlane did announce his plans to end the show and concentrate on other projects. It is clear however that "Family Guy" holds a special place in MacFarlane's portfolio, but given the show is Fox-produced, cutting ties with the TV behemoth means the show will be compromised.

Seth MacFarlane's decision remains to be seen. For now, what "Family Guy" fans can do is hope for the sixteenth season.
