Major Nelson Teases Xbox Reveal Location

The official reveal of the new Xbox console is set to take place on May 21, meaning in just over one week fanboys and skeptics alike will be able to witness the future of Microsoft's popular gaming system. While rumors have been running rampant for years, gamers everywhere will finally receive definitive answers to all of their Xbox-related questions.

In order to whet the appetites of those waiting patiently for the reveal, Xbox's own Major Nelson tweeted this image of where the official Xbox Reveal will be held.

The image doesn't show off much, simply revealing a tent-like construction being made in an outdoor area. Major Nelson didn't specify the exact area where he took the pic, but chances are that the reveal will be coming from Microsoft's official headquarters in Redmond, Washington.

For those not in the know, the May 21st Xbox Reveal will be broadcast through a variety of outlets. Eager Xbox fans can catch the announcement at 10 am PDT via Xbox.com, Spike TV, or right on their Xbox 360 consoles.

This is certainly a moment of truth for Microsoft, expecially with the PS4 already out in the open and E3 just a few weeks away. Xbox has been using the "Achievements Unlocked" marketing campaign as of late to help hype up the event, highliting major Xbox milestones such as console launches and the beginnings of the Xbox Live service.

As we previously reported, the upcoming Xbox console is rumored to be called "Xbox Infinity" and is believed to feature a Blu-Ray player among other specs. Xbox fans surely have Adam Orth's always-online debacle fresh in their memories, so here's to hoping Microsoft won't require users to have an internet connection to play their favorite games. No word yet whether Microsoft plans on announcing launch titles on the 21st.

With the Xbox Reveal a mere week away, are you getting excited? What are you hoping Microsoft brings to the table for their third console?
