‘Skyrim Special Edition’Latest News & Update: Bethesda Forced To Roll Out Consecutive Patches For Audio Issues and Game Crashes

“Skyrim Special Edition” was not spared from potential problems and the first one that came out in the open had to do with the audio. Bethesda initially issued patch 1.03 for consoles and patch 1.1 on PCs to fix the problem but game crashes were reported after application.

The issues plagued both modded and non-modded systems for “Skyrim Special Edition” with players reporting game crashes and freezes. The only fix then was to restart the game but thankfully Bethesda was quick to release another patch to address the issue, GameRant reported.

Other than the game crashes, there were several other problems “Skyrim Special Edition” brought to players. This included NPCs not appearing in the right places, frame-rate issues, and graphic-related problems.

Bethesda addressed the “Skyrim Special Edition” complaints with patch 1.2 for the PC which also covered issues tied up to alt-tab when playing the game. With a lot of problems noted, it remains to be seen if more are in store for players who are trying out the remastered edition.

Despite the buggy nature, “Skyrim Special Edition” still holds the best mods for use among the video games out in the market. The mods are of course the ones in the radar of gamers and the best modifications include Falskaar, Frostfall and the Forgotten City among others.

Looking over the patch notes, a lot of problems for “Skyrim Special Edition” were tied up to the in-game graphics. That includes the detailed water flow which was not rendered properly, crashes when changing from werewolf back to human and the Load Order of mods, per reports.

Given that the remastered version is something that many were contemplating on getting, the bugs and issues could play a role in the final decision to get “Skyrim Special Edition”. Some are more eager to see “The Elder Scrolls 6” though plans for the sixth installment are still pretty far off.
