Nokia Lumia 925 Announced, Will Run Microsoft's Windows Phone 8, Available in June

Nokia announced the Nokia 925 on Tuesday, saying it is an "innovation" on the old 920. However, it looks like it's merely a cosmetic upgrade, not so much when it comes to the tech. Thankfully, the 925 is both lighter and thinner than the 920, and wrapped in a full metal jacket that would make Gunnery Sgt. Hartman proud.

On the inside, it carries all the same features offered by both the Lumia 920 and 928: 4G LTE support, 4.5-inch display (1280x768-pixel resolution,) and the same 8.7-megapixel camera. Other tech specs for the phone are listed below, courtesy of Nokia

And here's the commercial that with enough time, you'll be reaching for the remote so the song won't get stuck in your head again.

Sure it looks good, especially compared to the 920, but to other smartphones on the market? While the 925 is smaller than the 920, it's also larger than the Samsung Galaxy S4. The 4.5 inch screen didn't change from 920 to the new model, whereas most smartphone screens are now close to, if not, 5 inches. They also offer buyers the option of different models with more or less memory. As of the announcement, Nokia is only offering a 16GB option, compared to the iPhone 5, which had variants for 32 and up to 64 GB memory.

As far as price goes, according to Nokia, "It will be priced at around 469 EUR before any local taxes or operator subsidies," roughly $609. The phone is expected to be available in mid-June at T-Mobile.
