New Adventure Time Game Coming To PC, PS3, 360, Wii U And 3DS This Fall

Following up on the success of Adventure Time: Hey Ice King! Why'd you steal our garbage? on Nintendo DS and 3DS, D3Publisher and Cartoon Network have announced a follow-up title for all major platforms: Adventure Time: Explore the Dungeon Because I DON'T KNOW HOW!

Adventure Time: Explore the Dungeon is set for release on Nintendo 3DS, and will also mark the franchise's debut on PC, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and Nintendo Wii U. In this new game, players will be challenged with saving the Candy Kingdom through a series of adventures in and around the Secret Royal Dungeon that rests beneath the Land of Ooo.

The game will feature voice acting from the characters on the show, including Finn, Jake, Marceline, Cinnamon Bun and more. It's also set to feature support for up to four player co-op.

"For Cartoon Network fans, this fall will feature the release of three fantastic games from D3Publisher that tap in to the unique tone, fun and adventure of each of these great original series," said Pete Yoder, vice president of consumer products, Cartoon Network Enterprises, in a company release. "With strong creator involvement and a sense of what games our fans want to play, we're excited to build on the tremendous success of last year's Adventure Time game and extend it across all consoles."

In addition to Adventure Time: Explore the Dungeon, D3 and Cartoon Network have also announced the development of Regular Show: Mordecai and Rigby in 8-Bit Land and Ben 10 Omniverse 2. Both games are scheduled to release on Nintendo 3DS, with Ben 10 Omniverse 2 also coming to Nintendo Wii U, Wii, Xbox 360, and PlayStation 3.

"We are excited to extend our partnership with Cartoon Network on the next iteration of Adventure Time and Ben 10 video games and we now have the opportunity to introduce the very first Regular Show video game to the millions of fans that watch the Emmy winning comedy each week," added Peter Andrew, vice president of product development, D3 Publisher. "Having the creative talents of these widely popular animated shows working directly with very proven development teams, it has given us the recipe to create the very best and most authentic video game experiences that will please fans of all ages."
