‘System of The Down' News & Update: Metal Band Back With New Album, More Details Here

After 12 years since the System of a Down released an album, the band's will release a new album in 2017. The band's new album comes with 15 new tracks.

John Dolmayan, drummer of the System of a Down band, stated that their talent and skill in music is better than before. The band promised their fans that they will make new music for their budding supporters in this new generation.

According to him, He wants everyone to feel good about the System of a Down comeback and that is what they are trying to accomplish. Dolmayan also pointed out that they are also pressured to return to the stage. For the past 12 years, the band was on a hiatus but due to their fans, they are now making their sixth album.

However, lead vocalist Serj Tankian said on LA Weekly that they are going to get together and see if the music they are making is the kind of music that System of a Down produces. He also said he is not sure if this new stuff will be the same music that they used to play before.

The member of the metal band System of a Down disbanded on August of 2006. Band guitarists Daron Malakian and Serj Tankian had a misunderstanding that eventually resulted in the splitting up of the members. Daron and the drummer John Dolmayan started a new band called Scars and Serj has his own solo career. They reunited in November 2010 for a string of large European festival gigs in June 2011.

System of a Down or simply SOAD, already released five albums in their career. They have been nominated for four Grammy Awards, won the Best Hard Rock Performance of 2006 by their song "B.Y.O.B." and sold over $40 million records worldwide.

"System of a Down" announced several tour dates for this succeeding year. Some of these are festivals from different countries including France, Spain, Poland and more.
