'Pokemon Go' Latest News & Update: 100 New Pokemon Arriving Via December Update; New Rewards, Bonuses, Gym Mechanics, & Prestige Points Revealed!

The hit mobile sensation "Pokemon Go" is set to get an update, and this time, it's a huge one. While some players have completed the Pokedex, 100 new Pokemon would be hitting the map.

Big changes that will hit the game

The development team of "Pokemon Go" has already confirmed the arrival of the update in its official blog last Sunday. For starters, the update will incorporate a new daily bonus system. In the latest feature, "Pokemon Go" players will be given rewards and bonuses for the first Pokemon they catch daily. The first PokeStop visit each day would also be rewarded. "Pokemon Go" players will then receive a larger bonus for playing the app for seven consecutive days.

Conquering Poké Gyms and changes to Prestige points

Conquering Poke Gyms would now be relatively easier than before thanks to the upcoming "Pokemon Go" update. The new mechanics will allow the player to place a Pokemon in the open Gym. There will now be a short amount of time allotted for this, right after beating the Gym leader of the opposing team.

The new "Pokemon Go" update will also change the Prestige points that a rival Gym loses whenever a Gym member is defeated. The new update will significantly increase the points to be deducted. Also, the Prestige points for players training at a friendly Gym will be smaller. This would then consequently promote a more competitive playing environment among "Pokemon Go" trainers.

Generation II is right around the corner.

The second generation Pokemon are definitely bound for "Pokemon Go." Dissecting the codes of the APK for the upcoming update, analysts have found that 100 new Pokemon are set to be added to the mobile game. There would also be a new move called Transform. This move could then be the signature move of Ditto in "Pokemon Go."

With the Generation 2 Pokemon set to arrive in the upcoming "Pokemon Go" update, fans are excited to see the new creatures and expand their Pokedex. Stay tuned to GamenGuide for more "Pokemon GO" news and updates!
