MacBook Pro 2016 Specs, Features & Latest News: Touch Bar MacBooks Have Non-Removable SSD; Graphics Card Upgrade Available? Mac Hacks Revealed Here!

Whether one views the MacBook Pro 2016 models amazing or downright awful is a user's prerogative, but yes, not everybody is pleased with Apple's new range of laptops. Still, the new Macs are a sight to behold and they come with incomparable internals, but the new models are not exempted of limitations.

Take the 15-inch MacBook Pro with Touch Bar for instance, which doesn't have a removable SSD. While this won't make any sense to a regular Apple fan, it sure is a disappointment for techies, geeks, and the like. The MacBook Pro 2016 13-inch sans Touch Bar features a cutout in the logic board for removable flash storage, so why do differently for the 15-inch variant?

The SSDs used in the MacBook Pro 2016 machines are directly soldered to the circuit board, which means users will have no option to upgrade the device's flash storage. Apple made SSD upgrades seem impossible to reach, although the fact that they have incorporated the latest NVMe PCIe SSDs are commendable. Nevertheless, these are pricey specifications that not all Apple users would go for, reports 9to5Mac.

The MacBook Pro 2016 models present themselves as machines with specific components way too difficult to tweak or upgrade in any way. To put it bluntly, a user is forced to stick to his choice of flash storage for the remainder of the laptop's life.

To lighten up the mood, hopefully, the MacBook Pro 2016 does come with a feature that could transform your device into a powerful gaming laptop. Unfortunately, it requires a hefty sum. One can hook up to an external GPU dock, the Thunderbolt 3 port, to experience graphics at its best.

That said, the MacBook Pro 2016 range of models may have caveats or whatnot, but truth be told, it's still the best ones out there. What's left for MacBook users is to get over with recycling and sustainability and take advantage of Apple's enhanced manufacturing efficiencies.
