TV to Watch This Weekend: Arrested Development Makes its Long Awaited Return

This weekend's biggest TV show debut comes from the internet. Netflix will drop the long awaited return of Arrested Development this Sunday. The return of Buster, Tobias and Maeby will show up all at once so binge viewers don't have to wait. Those looking for something else can also check out some animated Avengers action, BBC-styled Sci-Fi adventure and a Liberace biopic.

BBC America's Sci-Fi export returns this Saturday with 'Unconscious Selection'. The ninth episode of the first season sees Sarah set on revenge after Kira's life gets threatened. That is until Dr. Leekie gives her a moment of pause on her warpath towards revenge.

Nerdist (BBC America)
Saturday 10PM PST

The Nerdist shows up this week with guests Director Guillermo Del Toro (Hellboy), Matt Smith (Doctor Who) and actress Katee Sackhoff (Battlestar Galactica). Watch as host Chris Hardwick chats up with Del Toro on his upcoming giant robot movie Pacific Rim and tests his guest on British TV trivia.

Arrested Development (Netflix)

This weekend's major offering is sure to keep TV viewers on the internet. Netflix is dropping its whole season run of Arrested Development online this Sunday. After a lengthy hiatus the renowned series is headed back to air with 15 episodes releasing simultaneously. If there was ever a reason to get Netflix it is this. Huzzah!

Behind the Candelabra (HBO)

Michael Douglas (The Game) and Matt Damon (Bourne Identity) star in this biopic on the life of Liberace. Directed by Steven Soderbergh (Oceans 11), Behind the Candelabra follows the piano playing wizard during his trying six year relationship with lover Scott Thorson. The film marks Soderbergh's first foray into television since retiring from film directing earlier this year.

Mad Men (AMC)
Sunday 10 PM PST

Mad Men's final season is quickly coming to a close. Episode 9, The Better Half, sees Roger being plagued by a recurring dream while Joan goes to the beach. Sure, it doesn't sound very exciting but because it's Mad Men their will obviously be a lot of drinking, smoking and yelling.

Marvel's Avengers Assemble (Disney XD)

The Avengers and Sunday morning cartoons finally collide this weekend. Marvel's Avengers Assemble debuts this Sunday on Disney XD. The extension of the Marvel's brand sees the Avengers take on Red Skull and M.O.D.O.K. in a battle for New York. Joining the super crew for this hour-long special is Falcon aka Sam Wilson.
