'Pokemon Stars' Release Date, Latest News & Update: Similar To 'Pokemon Sun And Moon'? Only A Revival Of Old 'Pokemon' Versions?

Nintendo Switch is getting a version of the game codenamed "Pokémon Stars" that will be launched next year. It is said that it will be like "Pokemon Sun" and "Pokemon Moon", but with a more improved resolution.

According to Eurogamer, "Pokémon Stars" is being urbanized at Game Freak by the "Pokemon Sun" and "Pokemon Moon" team. Same cities and maps will be used as "Pokémon Sun and Moon", but it will have a greater resolution on Nintendo Switch. Sources shared to Eurogamer that the game is progressing and will be launched in 2017 under the code name, "Pokémon Stars".

"Pokémon Star" will revive the idea of the earlier generations of "Pokémon" games such as the features of "Pokémon Yellow" from the Game Boy originals Red and Blue to Pokémon Platinum continued by Diamond and Pearl on Nintendo DS. This will be the first time to see the road to the Pokémon series straddling part Nintendo consoles within the same age bracket of games and will be the first Nintendo "home" console to have a main Pokémon adventure in 20 years.

"Pokémon Sun and Moon" for the Nintendo new 3DS are made available to North America and Japan and a week or so in Europe and made some new development with Switch. Game Freak, the studio behind the amazing games of the Pokémon series since the game boy era, has made everything possible as the Sun and Moon team developed "Pokémon Stars".

Game Freak took a break on its work for Nintendo Switch months ago to fully polish the Sun and Moon in time for the launch but now resumes its work as the game launch is a success. There will be no worries on whether players can play both "Pokémon Sun and Moon" and "Pokémon Stars", since Pokémon will be available for trade by using the Pokémon Bank App.

"Pokémon Stars" was originally scheduled for release in the summer of 2017 but was pushed back due to the "Pokémon Sun and Moon" launch. According to Game Informer, more updates will be released later on when "Pokémon Stars" will be launched.
