Razor Introduces World’s Thinnest Gaming Notebook - Razer Blade

Close on the heels of the recent release of the ultra powerful Edge gaming tablet, Razor has unveiled the world's thinnest gaming notebook - Razor Blade.

"Thinner than a dime and more powerful than other traditional desktop replacements today, we've created an entirely new category of thin and powerful laptops that is generations ahead of other PCs," said Razer co-founder, CEO and creative director Min-Liang Tan in a press statement on May 30.

Measuring at just 0.66 inches thin, the Blade packs more power-per-cubic-inch than any other laptop available. Powering the ultra thin laptop will be a fourth generation Intel Core processor, NVIDIA GeForce GTX 765M GPU, 8GB of 1600 MHz DDR3L memory and 128GB(256 GB or 512 GB optional) solid-state storage technology with boot speeds up to four-times faster than a traditional 5400-RPM notebook hard drive. Sound will be pumped through the custom tuned Dolby Home Theatre v4.

NVIDIA vice president and general manager of notebook GPUs Rene Haas says that Razer has "set out to do the impossible without compromising performance."

"The new 14-inch Razer Blade embodies Razer's continuing goal to design the world's best gaming laptops for those that need insanely powerful performance in the thinnest form factors to game anywhere, anytime," Haas said. "Users are able to game more and do more than every before on the ultra-portable system."

Razer's Blade laptop also features an all-aluminum chassis, a 14 inch LED-backlit HD+ display with a native resolution of 1600 x 900, custom-designed multi-touch trackpad, backlit gaming grade keyboard powered by Razer's Synapse 2.0, built-in full 1.3MP webcam and more.

The Windows 8 powered laptop delivers up to six hours of battery life and includes a Killer Wireless-N network adapter that has five-times the wireless networking speed of competitive wireless adapters.

Available for pre-order June 3, the Blade starts at $1,799 and those interested in one, can click here.
