The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Legendary Edition is out today

If you've managed to stay patient and hold off buying any of Skyrim's DLC episodes for this long, then a tip of the cap to you, good player. That, or perhaps you're just lazy and forgot all about them. In either case, you're still in luck, because today's the day that you finally get to park your keester in your favorite chair, and play Skyrim 'til your eyes bleed. The Legendary Edtion of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim is out today, and offers up the original game, as well as all three pieces of DLC content; Dawnguard, Hearthfire, and Dragonborn, and at a heavily discounted price.

The Legendary Edition will set gamers back $60, but as all the DLC is included, gamers actually save money in the long run, about $45 in all (compared to their original cost at the time of release).

The first bit of DLC released, Dawnguard offers about 10 to 20 hours worth of gameplay, and gives players the option of joining the titular vampire hunting Dawnguard and taking on the vampire lord Harkon in his quest to extinguish the sun, or you can join Harkon and his kin, who grant you all the powers to be one with the night.

The second DLC that arrived, Hearthfire, didn't offer a story or additional characters so much as it let players customize their various homes. The DLC allows players to "create a living home." Players can purchase land and build their own home from the ground up - from a simple one-room cottage to a sprawling compound complete with an armory, alchemy laboratory, stable, garden, and more. Use all-new tools like the drafting table and carpenter's workbench to transform quarried stone, clay, and sawn logs into structures and furnishings. Even transform your house into a home by adopting children.

Dragonborn, the third and final DLC episode, which takes place on the island of Solstheim, offers up plenty of new areas for players to explore, including new towns, dungeons, wilderness. Of course, new quests will be offered all so you can ready yourself before going up against your "deadliest adversary" yet, the first Dragonborn.

In addition to the DLC episodes, the Legendary Edition also adds in new combat cameras, mounted combat, Legendary difficulty mode, and Legendary skills. All in all, if you've never sunk your teeth into the lands of Tamriel, now's the time.

Out now in the US, the game hits Europe and Australia on June 7.
