‘Vikings' Season 5 Air Date, Spoilers, News & Updates: Season 5 Delayed Untill September 2017?

Part 2 of "Vikings" season 4 will hit at the end of November 2016. However, the "Vikings" season 5 has been rumored that the premiere will be delayed until September 2017.

The delay of schedule of the "Vikings" season 5 is due to the postponement of the finale episode of the current season of the series. In all of its seasons from first to fourth, only the fourth season of the series has a total of 20 episodes.

Spoilers of the "Vikings" Season 5 are surfacing throughout the web and they hinted that Travis Fimmel, the actor who portrayed Ragnar Lothbrok, will return to the Kattegat world and will meet his fortune at the hands of King Aelle. Speculations suggest that Ivar Boneless, the role of Alex Hogh Andersen, would be chosen to sit on the throne and rule the kingdom.

Ivar Boneless has pathological issues and might continue to "Vikings" season 5. He has been constantly proving his skills and power and he has been considered as one of the wisest men alive, reason why he is considered as a tough contender for the throne.

In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, series creator Michael Hirst said that fans should look forward for Ivar and Ragnar for they will have some great scenes. Ivar is really someone who's going to take the show forward. "Vikings" season 5 will going to be more intense than the previous seasons.

The historical drama has at all times been in relation to Ragnar and his brother Rollo. Michael Hirst hinted that the brotherly drama will carry on the "Vikings" Season 5. The feud was always going to be between Ragnar and Rollo.

It is also expected that Astrid, Lagertha's love will have her appearance on the "Vikings" season 5. The former character is said to be discovered from the research made by Oxford University historian, Dr. Peter Frankopan.

"Vikings" season 5 is said to have 20 episodes like the fourth seasons, but it might also happen that this will be divided into two parts. History Channel has yet to announce its official release.
