System 76, a Colorado-based computer manufacturer, has released its new Ubuntu laptop that can directly compete with computers running on Apple and Microsoft OS. The Oryx Pro is said to be the ultimate gaming laptop available in the market.

Oryx Pro is the newest Ubuntu-based laptop of System 76 that runs on Linux OS. It sports the latest Pascal GPU of NVIDIA, the GeForce GTX 1070, which other gaming windows laptops have. The cool thing about Oryx Pro is that it has a 4K HiDPI display option on its 15.6-inch display screen, CIO reported.

According to Beta News, community manager at System 76 Ryan Snipes said that the Oryx Pro is perfect for those users who accomplish many tasks. The new Ubuntu laptop can also be used by professionals with engineering and scientific applications.

The Oryx Pro sports 6th Gen Intel Core i7 with a speed of 2.6 up to 3.6 GHz Quad-Core. The memory of the new laptop supports 64 GB dual-channel of DDR4 clocked at 2400 MHz. It also brags its massive 5 TB total storage capacity.

Moreover, the new Ubuntu laptop has an HDMI port and extra two mini display ports. The keyboard is well-designed with multi-color back-lit feature and comfortable soft-texture finish. The Oryx Pro comes with two USB 3.1 Type-C slots and three USB 3.0 slots. Also, it has an SD Card reader, a gigabit ethernet slot and 802.11ac Wi-Fi for user's internet connectivity needs.

What set Oryx Pro apart from other brands is the fact that the buyer has the power to build his own laptop. It will depend on what buyers think they need and how tight their budget is. Buyers can setup a new Ubuntu laptop with System 76 in just one click away on its website. The price starts at $1499 or $128 a month.
