'Watchdogs 2' Latest News & Updates: The Game's Seamless Online Multiplayer Feature Is Now Available

Ubisoft is finally starting to make "Watch Dogs 2" seamless online multiplayer feature possible after spending its first week without the feature. The developer wasn't able to roll it out over the weekend.

According to GameSpot, the seamless online multiplayer feature of "Watch Dogs 2" that Ubisoft has promised, which is the first phase of the mode, was brought back online on PlayStation 4 at 11 a.m. PST on Nov. 22. For Xbox One version, the seamless mode will also be available.

With the in-game multiplayer app, players will be able to invite friends to search for a partner, hack into other player's worlds and participate in the Bounty Hunts. The remaining part of the seamless online multiplayer feature of "Watch Dogs 2" will be switched on if the feature works well, which will allow the Bounty mode to occur seamlessly in the world even without using the app. Additionally, the player would also be able to bump into other players to join in searching for partners and DedSec events.

Furthermore, apart from availability of the seamless online multiplayer of "Watch Dogs 2", the update 1.05 was also released although there were no certain patch notes that Ubisoft disclosed. The developer only said that the update includes important crash fixes that improve stability.

Meanwhile, there is no confirmation yet on the status of the seamless online multiplayer feature of "Watch Dogs 2" in the impending PC version. The sales during the first week of the game were less than what was expected but Ubisoft is confident that it should change moving forward.

Ubisoft Montreal developed "Watch Dogs 2" while Ubisoft published the game. It is an open world action-adventure video game, which is the sequel to 2014's "Watch Dogs" and was released worldwide for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Microsoft Windows on November 2016.
