"Monster Hunter" movie is not just on its way, but it seems the Capcom game will be bigger and better than "Resident Evil." Director and writer Paul W.S. Anderson has already penned the initial draft of the "Monster Hunter" script with a budget of around $50 million.

Producer Jeremy Bolt confirmed that the next film they will make after "Resident Evil" will be the "Monster Hunter" movie. "The Final Chapter" will be released on January next year and fans are hoping that the team could now focus on the adaptation of Capcom game.

Paul W.S. Anderson seemed to have been enchanted with the "Monster Hunter" movie saying that they have created an incredibly beautiful and immersive world. In terms of creativity, Anderson likened the Capcom game adaptation to the level of "Star Wars" movie.

Though Jeremy Bolt said that "Monster Hunter" movie will be bigger than "Resident Evil," there is a similarity in terms of their approach on the characters. There will be no real central characters in the "Monster Hunter" game adaptation, and the producer thinks it is the perfect IP.

Creators of "Monster Hunter" movie hope that the upcoming film will surpass the revenues of "Resident Evil." The budget of $33 million was able to rake in $102 million around the world. Meanwhile, "Resident Evil: Retribution" was produced with a budget of $65 million and got a whopping $240 million internationally.

"Monster Hunter" movie is expected to have a rating of PG-13 which aims to cater to a wider range of audience. The "Resident Evil" films had an R rating, which means that the "Monster Hunter" movie could have more potential for success. "Monster Hunter" game is a big name in China with 15 million paying users.
