'Call Of Duty' News & Update: Modern Warfare Remastered-for £50

Don't waste time shopping at stores for Black Friday when you could be cleaning house on multiplayer maps? At least, that's what Infinity Ward things. The company, alongside the developers at Raven Software, has announced yet another double XP weekend for not only "Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare," but also the title that accompanies it in the Legacy Edition, "Modern Warfare Premastered."

The event was happen as of this morning, with continue all weekend long, through 1 PM EDT on Monday, November 28th. The company noted in a Twitter post, "Weekend plans? Celebrating a holiday? Everything just got better. Double XP in 'Infinite Warfare' Multiplayer starts Friday."

Activision announced that the only way to get the game was to buy the expensive "Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare Legacy Edition" - or its digital equivalent - fans recoiled in horror. Suffice it to say, Activision's refusal to sell "Modern Warfare" remastered separately didn't go down well.

According to that, Raven Software made a quick note in regards to certain issues that have arisen in Modern Warfare Remastered. Lead designer Aldis Hodge noting, "We are working on a fix for the controller buttons getting stuck in weird states after round transitions." Those looking for a "quick fix" has been advised, "If you have a custom controller setup, don't press buttons during the intermission screen." Other matters will be solved as time goes on, obviously.

There are plenty of Call of Duty fans that are only interested in Modern Warfare Remastered, who decided against buying Infinite Warfare's £79.99 edition because well, that's a lot of money to fork out just to play the remaster of a nine-year-old game.

As of now, the Legacy Edition of Infinite Warfare has been reduced as part of Black Friday madness. At Amazon it's down to £49.99, which is £30 cheaper than it was at launch.
