'Arrow' Season 5 Air Date, Spoilers, News & Update: Stephen Amell Hints About Final Season; Crossover Last Resort to Help Save Show?

The CW's "Arrow" launched to positive reviews back in 2012. Its first three seasons earned over 3 million viewers on average, a number the show failed to maintain for its fourth season. Now that the tag team of Greg Berlanti, Andrew Kreisberg, and Marc Guggenheim are busy developing "The Flash," "Supergirl," and "Legends of Tomorrow" for The CW, is "Arrow" falling to the sidelines? Stephen Amell hints about final season for "Arrow" season 5, and it seems that the crossover's the last resort to help save the show.

With "Arrow" season 5, production brought the show back to its roots in the hopes of luring back the fans and viewers of the show. But does it seem to be working? It seems that the "Arrow" crossover's the last resort to help save the show. The first trailer of the "Arrow"/"The Flash"/"Supergirl" and "Legends" crossover has arrived, and it seems that they're hoping for this to bring in more viewers for the show.

According to Entertainment Weekly, the special crossover event will be four nights long on The CW, beginning with "Supergirl." In the new promo for what looks like an epic crossover event, fans will get to se "Arrow" season 5 star Stephen Amell sport a new crossbow. The special crossover event will begin tomorrow on "Supergirl," followed by "The Flash" on Tuesday. On Wednesday, it's "Arrow"'s turn, and on Thursday, the conclusion will air on "Legends of Tomorrow." It seems that this massive event will earn more viewers for "Arrow" season 5 and will serve as a last resort to help save the show.

Meanwhile, Inquisitr is reporting that if the last resort to help save the show doesn't work, "Arrow" season 5 may be its last. Guggenheim believes that this season is the end of a chapter for the show, and ultimately a starting point for something else. Now that Stephen Amell hints about final season, will he reprise his role for another season?

Amell has been quoted as saying, "We’re either going to do what we do and do it well or it’s the last year." If this is any indication, it seems that there's no definite future for "Arrow" season 5 for now. But hopefully, tomorrow's massive crossover event would help lift the show's ratings.
